New mod "Cyberpunk 2077" for VR from an independent developer from the USA

Independent developer Luke Ross has released several gameplay videos demonstrating the VR mod for Cyberpunk 2077, which will be released soon.

In a conversation with PC Gamer, Ross confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 tops the list of PC games that can be built around his REAL VR series of mods. The virtual reality implementation framework says that if everything goes according to plan, the owners of Cyberpunk 2077 will be able to conduct their first virtual dive sometime in January 2022 on a PC.

"One of the main advantages of CP2077 is that it can already be played in the first person," says Ross, "which is very good for immersion in virtual reality, unlike, for example, Mafia Trilogy, where I had to implement the first—person view again."

Ross says that the structure of VR modding is now approaching "some level of maturity", which, according to his estimates, will allow him to release support for VR mods for about one game per month, provided that there are no too complex problems that need to be solved. Thanks to the legendary history of bugs and crashes in Cyberpunk 2077, many of which were fixed after the release of the game a year ago, it doesn't hurt Ross to do everything possible to make sure everything is stable.

However, this is not his only job. Ross said that he already wants to release another VR mod for an as yet unnamed game. He says that the game "based on DX12, with an open world, will look epic in virtual reality, especially landscapes and battles."
